As part of its ongoing efforts to promote hydrogen innovation, sustainable mobility, and knowledge exchange with the next generation of professionals, the TRIERES project concept was presented to students from Kufstein University of Applied Sciences during two educational and networking events hosted by the Green Energy Center Europe in January 2026 and April 2026.
The workshops brought together European hydrogen initiatives, Living Lab stakeholders, and students interested in the future of clean energy systems, offering a valuable platform for dialogue between academia, industry, and research projects.
January 2026 – Hydrogen Living Lab Workshop at GEC Europe
In January 2026, TRIERES was featured during the “REINFORCE & FLEXI Meet H2COVE Living Lab Workshop” organised by FEN Research GmbH. The event brought together representatives from European hydrogen initiatives, Living Labs, and academia to discuss the role of hydrogen ecosystems in accelerating the clean energy transition.
During the workshop, FH Kufstein students were introduced to the TRIERES project and its ambitious vision for the development of a Hydrogen Valley in Greece. The presentation highlighted the project’s integrated approach across the hydrogen value chain, including renewable hydrogen production, infrastructure development, transport applications, and regional cooperation.
Special focus was given to the project’s activities in sustainable mobility and the deployment of hydrogen solutions in public transport and heavy-duty applications. Students also gained insight into how TRIERES brings together municipalities, transport operators, industrial partners, and research organisations to create a collaborative ecosystem for hydrogen deployment.

April 2026 – Hydrogen Living Lab Workshop at GEC Europe
In April 2026, the TRIERES project concept was presented to students from FH Kufstein University of Applied Sciences during an educational visit to Green Energy Center Europe, offering participants a first-hand introduction to hydrogen technologies, sustainable mobility solutions, and innovative clean energy initiatives.
The visit formed part of Green Energy Center Europe’s ongoing efforts to connect academia with real-world energy projects and provide students with practical insight into the evolving hydrogen sector. Within this framework, TRIERES showcased its vision for the development of a Hydrogen Valley in Greece and its role in supporting Europe’s transition towards climate-neutral transport and energy systems.
During the presentation, students were introduced to the project’s integrated hydrogen ecosystem approach, covering renewable hydrogen production, infrastructure development, mobility applications, and regional cooperation among public and private stakeholders. Particular emphasis was placed on the deployment of hydrogen solutions in transport and the importance of collaboration between municipalities, industry, transport operators, and research organisations.

By participating in initiatives that engage young professionals and students, TRIERES continues to strengthen knowledge exchange and support the development of future talent in the hydrogen and clean energy sectors, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient European energy future.
