On the 27th June 2024, Mr. Konstantinos I. Chatzifotis, EU Affairs Manager of Motor Oil and project coordinator of TRIĒRĒS, participated in CGHE2024 – Connecting Green Hydrogen Europe 2024 to present the Greek Hydrogen Valley, “Towards a Low Carbon Energy Hub in the Eastern Mediterranean”.
Key highlights from his presentation include:
- Foundation for Hydrogen Market in Greece: TRIĒRĒS is laying the groundwork for the hydrogen market by connecting stakeholders from academia, industry, and government. This collaborative effort is crucial for developing a robust hydrogen infrastructure.
- Innovative Pilot Applications and Studies: The project features pilot applications and studies designed to boost technical expertise, enhance public perception, and provide valuable policy insights. These efforts are key to shaping effective regulatory and safety frameworks at both national and EU levels.
- Regional Impact: By collaborating with established hydrogen valleys in the EU (Netherlands, Austria) and emerging regions like Cyprus and Egypt, TRIĒRĒS is poised to drive significant growth in the Balkans, South-Eastern Europe, and the Eastern Mediterranean. The aim is to transform these innovative hydrogen ecosystems into a thriving market.
