Greek Hydrogen Valley coordinator Motor Oil and consortium partner OSY (Mr. Stefanos Agiasoglou, CEO) recently conducted a site visit at RVK bus depot in Wermelksirchen, near Cologne.

Green Vision: MOH is the leading energy force behind TRIERES, serving as the project coordinator. OSY, a key consortium partner, plays a pivotal role in the mobility sector use case.

OSY’s Role in TRIERES: OSY, renowned as the urban bus operator in the Attica region (Greece’s largest), collaborates with NTUA for studies and simulations. Their focus includes retrofitting and operating buses with diverse profiles based on factors like distance, routing frequency, powertrain configuration, and more. OSY will operate three FC-EV urban buses within the metropolitan area of Athens, enhancing sustainable public transportation with a keen eye on factors like bus loading conditions and passenger ergonomics.

RVK, Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH, has the largest hydrogen fueled bus fleet in EU. Mr. Adrian Zinke, Director of RVK Technical Department, shared with the TRIERES partners the wide experiences and learning processes using hydrogen in a bus fleet.

Forward Together: The site visit in Wermelskirchen marks a significant step forward, showcasing the dedication of both MOH and OSY to drive innovation and sustainability in the mobility sector, uncovering hydrogen potential.

Collaboration Matters: TRIERES is a testament to the power of collaboration. Together, we are forging a path towards a more sustainable and efficient urban transportation landscape.
